Arjun Kadhe v Jiri Vesely Predictions & Preview

Things might not get easier for Jiri Vesely, the 107th-ranked Czech player who will be up against the local, wild-card entrant Arjun Kadhe. Kadhe has never broken into the top 300 of the ATP rankings and currently is outside the top 600. Which is also why Vesely starts off at 1/10 to win this and is a mere 1/3 to do that in straight sets.

What we reckon is the home advantage cannot be overstated in this case and while a win seems to be a far-fetched idea, we could have Kadhe push Vesely to an extent. May be not even win a set but push one of them to a tie-breaker, which means it might be a good idea to look at the games market.

One of the reasons we reckon this could be the case is the way Vesely has gone about his own business, having not qualified for the Doha Open, failed to win a match at Bangkok 2 Challenger and then bowing out in the quarterfinal at the same venue.

Tip: Over 19.5 games in the match: 10/13 (Click here to get these odds with Unibet)

Ilya Ivashka v Evgeny Donskoy Predictions & Preview

109th-ranked Evgeny Donskoy will be up against the 152nd-ranked Ilya Ivashka in what will be their fourth meeting. All three of those matches came on hard court surfaces but none since 2017 and Donskoy leads 2-1 on head to head.

After getting knocked out in the first round of the Canberra Challenger, Ivashka went through the qualifiers to make it to the first round at the Australian Open. There, he took on the former top-10 player Kevin Anderson and pushed him to the final set which he lost in a tie-breaker.

Interestingly, Donskoy has had a slightly better start, something that reflects in his rankings too. He made the semifinal at Canberra and much like Ivashka, qualified for the main draw but was beaten in the first round. He lasted three sets against Fernando Verdasco.

Which is why Donskoy holds bit of an edge here for us and could go through.

Lukas Rosol v Roberto Marcora Predictions & Preview

As far as their rankings are concerned, there isn’t much to choose between Lukas Rosol and Robert Marcora. The duo who has never faced off before has Rosol ranked 176th to his opponent’s 174th, and what’s interesting is both will be playing in their first main draw match of an ATP tournament this season.

Rosol was knocked out in the first round at the Noumea Challenger, and while he made the third round of the Australian Open qualifier he failed to make it through. Marcora made the quarterfinals at Noumea, second qualifying round in Melbourne, and played an extra tournament in Bangkok where he lost in round one.

Which is why this is so close to call, we could be looking at a three-setter here.

Tip: Three sets in the match: 27/20 (Click here to get these odds with Unibet)

Nikola Milojevic v Antoine Hoang Predictions & Preview

The 126th-ranked Hoang features in his opener against Milojevic with the pair having last met in the final of a Futures event in 2015. Milojevic had won that match in three, tough sets and on hard court. Not that a record from all those years should really have a bearing on this one.

Hoang’s made a very shoddy start to the season, having lost in his first qualifier at the Australian Open and then again at the Bangkok 3 Challenger. He will be waiting for the first win of the year as a result.

His opponent, Milojevic has himself not won too much, but done better in losing in the third qualifying round at the Australian Open, and then making the third round at the Burnie Challenger after an opening round bye. This is why he starts a favourite, 4/6 ahead of his opponent.

Tip: Milojevic to win: 4/6 (Click here to get these odds with bet365)
