Guido Pella v Corentin Moutet Predictions & Preview
22nd-ranked Guido Pella will be up against Corentin Moutet, ranked 71st in the world, in their second round match on Wednesday. And this will be their third meeting, with both of the previous ones on clay. Pella had won the first one in 2018 at Sao Paulo before Moutet avenged that one with a second round shock at the French Open last year.
Both players have similar, strongish records on clay, with Pella having won his only title in 2019 at Sao Paulo on that surface. Similarly, Moutet has won six titles on the Challenger circuit on clay.
Pella has shown decent recent form too, and on a surface which isn’t quite his favourite. He won two of his four matches at the ATP Cup and then made the third round of the Australian Open where he went down to fellow clay-courter Fabio Fognini. Moutet, however, went one better, as he made the final at Doha despite being a qualifier there.
Moutet will also be advantaged by having played in the first round, his first match on clay this season as compared to Pella, who had a bye. He could shade the contest here, Moutet but either ways, a three-setter looks likely.
Tip: Three sets in the match: 8/5 (Click here to get these odds with bet365)

Cristian Garin v Attila Balazs Predictions & Preview
Second round action continues with Cristian Garin facing Attila Balazs for the first time in their careers. Now, while Garin had begun the season woefully, losing five of the six matches he has played, his poor hard court season last year as well has ensured he hasn’t lost much in terms of rankings. Currently, in fact, he is at his career-best of 31st in the world.
And now, Garin will be back playing on his favourite clay court surface, where he had won 21 of the 29 matches he played last year. That included two titles, at Munich and Houston and one other finals appearance.
And he will be up against Balazs, who himself is at his career-best of 108th, having taken out Lorenzo Sonego in the opener in straight sets. That was his first main draw match on the ATP circuit after having featured in the Bangkok Challengers earlier.
A straight-set win looks likely for Garin.

Pablo Cuevas v Gianluca Mager Predictions & Preview
48th-ranked Pablo Cuevas will be in action against the 133rd-ranked Gianluca Mager in their second round match. Cuevas had a tricky first round match against Federico Delbonis, and not only did he win but was also as convincing as one would be playing his first match on clay for the season.
Which is why he will start off as a huge favourite, 3/10, to defeat his opponent, who had earlier lost his opener at the Punta del Este Challenger. He then needed three sets to get past Pablo Juan Ficovich, a 244th-ranked wild-card entrant, and things could suddenly get a lot tougher here.
Straight-set win for Cuevas expected.
Tip: Cuevas to win in straight sets: 5/6 (Click here to get these odds with bet365)
Carlos Taberner v Andrej Martin Predictions & Preview
It’s a match between the 100th-ranked Martin Andrej and 198th-ranked Carlos Taberner for a place in the quarterfinal. In their only previous meeting at the Florence Challenger in 2019, Taberner was leading by a set and 3-1 in the second when Martin opted out because of injury.
Taberner needed to qualify for the tournament here, before stunning Fernando Verdasco in his opener. Martin, on the other hand, was a semifinalist at Punta del Este Challenger and then won his opening round match with much ease.
Which is why Martin could hold the edge with attractive odds of 1/1 for his win.
Tip: Martin to win: 1/1 (Click here to get these odds with bet365)
