Laslo Djere v Pedro Martinez Predictions & Preview

39th-ranked Laslo Djere will be facing Pedro Martinez, who is ranked 150th in the world, in what will be a second round match at the Cordoba Open. This will be their first match.

It’s not been one of the best starts for Djere, but his hard court play hasn’t been the best anyway. There was a win at both Doha and Adelaide but he went on to lose his second round matches in both those tournaments, but a first round loss at the Australian Open will hurt even more.

Djere has had a couple of weeks off after that having gotten a first round bye here. So while he prefers playing on clay, it would be interesting to see how he adapts back to the surface in this opener, against a player who has already registered three wins on it.

Martinez needed to win two matches to make the main draw before he edged out Federico Gaio in his first round match here. He had earlier done something similar at the Australian Open too, losing to Daniil Medvedev and while Djere won’t be as stern a test, it won’t be too easy for him.

Pedro Cachin v Juan Ignacio Londero Predictions & Preview

On paper this is a mismatch, as the 50th-ranked Juan Igancio Londero takes on the 354th-ranked Argentine Pedro Cachin. However, the same might have been said about Cachin’s first round match too, where he took on Hugo Dellien and not only won but did so in straight, crushing sets.

As a result, Londero will do well to keep any complacency away from this one as he takes on his way lower-ranked opponent in this second round match. However, while Londero’s confidence might have taken a hit from the manner in which he went down in the first two matches of the season – opening round losses at both Adelaide International and Australian Open – he did well to come back and win his opener here.

Playing the former world number 16, Marco Cecchinato, Londero won 6-2, 7-5 to set up this meeting with Cachin. And should not have a lot of trouble getting to the quarterfinals either.

Tip: Londero to win in straight sets: 8/13 (Click here to get these odds with Unibet)

Pablo Andujar v Albert Ramos-Vinolas Predictions & Preview

This is an interesting rivalry between the two Spaniards, however, a one-sided one of sorts. Pablo Andujar and Albert Ramos-Vinolas have faced off a total of 14 times over the past 15 years and Andujar leads 11-3 so far, but in the last four and a half years, they have met just once. That match came last year and Ramos-Vinolas managed to defeat his opponent for once, winning in straight sets at Gstaad.

Even more interestingly, 12 of those 14 matches have come on clay, and only two of those 14 have gone to a third set.

However, given Ramos-Vinolas’ growing confidence and a better ranking – he is 42nd to Andujar’s 63rd – we could see a gritty battle here that goes the distance.

Tip: Over 22.5 games in the match: 4/5 (Click here to get these odds with Unibet)
