Over at Louis Armstrong Stadium, Karolina Pliskova will open her campaign first up and will be followed by the man in form Daniil Medvedev. Interestingly, Medvedev will face another Indian, Prajnesh Gunneswaran in his opening round encounter. Venus Williams, Madison Keys and Stan Wawrinka are the others in action at the Louis Armstrong Stadium.
Kei Nishikori will kick things off at Grandstand, and will be followed by Angelique Kerber and Sofia Kenin, while some of the others who will take to court on day one include Johanna Konta of Great Britain, Elina Svitolina, the fifth seed, Fabio Fognini and Anastasija Sevastova who takes on Eugenie Bouchard.
