Having the top players competing in this new global event is critical, and the ATP Cup looks set to kick off the ATP Tour season in a big way in 2020.”

Other than the aforementioned countries, Russia, Austria, Germany, Greece, Japan, Italy, France, Belgium, Croatia, Argentina, Georgia, South Africa, USA, Canada and hosts Australia have qualified for the tournament for now. Five other teams will be revealed on November 13.

The first round of this ATP Cup will be played at Brisbane, Perth and Sydney before the top eight teams move into the final stages of the competition. That will be hosted by Sydney and will see quarter-finals, semi-finals and a final with every tie being a best of three; two singles matches and one doubles one.
