Andy Murray v Dan Evans Head to Head
Murray and Evans have, rather surprisingly, never played each other at the highest level before this.

Murray Overcomes Edmund Loss to Make Semi-Finals
Three-time majors winner Andy Murray had started off well in the competition following his lengthy layoff when he brushed Liam Broady aside in his opener. However, against Kyle Edmund, he failed to find his A game and while he did stretch his much higher-ranked opponent to two tie-breakers and three sets, the loss would have stung.
Also, what that meant was when Murray played in his third match in as many days, he had two things to worry – a must-win situation to make it to the semifinals and his fitness given his hip surgery and having to play so much tennis in such a short time.
As it turned out, Murray pleasantly surprised his fans – and probably himself – with a fine showing against James Ward as he went on to win in straight sets. He showed exemplary movement on court, and came back from a break down in the second set to complete a straight-set victory.
That should give him a lot of confidence going into this semifinal.

Evans Continues with His Consistent Year
Ranked 28th in the world, Dan Evans finally seems to be doing justice to his potential after having gone through some ups and downs in his career. Even before the virus struck the world, this was one Evans’ most consistent years at the top, and he has continued to show the same form in his first tournament back.
At the ATP Cup earlier this season, Evans won three of his four matches including against Alex De Minaur and David Goffin. He made the quarterfinal at the Adelaide International and Rotterdam Open and then went one better at the Dubai Open. There he recorded a win against Andrey Rublev as well.
And now, coming into this semifinal, he has had no difficulties in winning against Jay Clarke and Cameron Norrie. While Ryan Peniston stretched him a tad, by then his semifinal place was already confirmed.
Now comes his real test but he would go in knowing he has the game to test Murray.
Andy Murray v Dan Evans Predictions & Tips
Interestingly, Evans starts off as a favourite with bet365 offering 8/11 for his win as compared to Murray’s 1/1. The one-day break between matches should help Murray and we are backing him to win this one.
Tip: Murray to win: 1/1 (Click here to get these odds with Unibet)
