Pliskova shouldn’t have too many worries when she takes on Mayar Sherif in what will be the first match at Philippe-Chatrier today before local player Kristina Mladenovic takes to court for her opener. Mladenovic, who seemed only happy to return from the US Open following their strict protocols, will begin her campaign here against Laura Siegemund.
The world number one Djokovic will be the third on court and shouldn’t have too many issues against Mikael Ymer of Sweden, as the Serb begins his hunt for a 18th Grand Slam title. The ninth seeded Denis Shapovalov faces Frenchman Gilles Simon in what will be the final match on the main court for the day.
