Laslo Djere v Federico Delbonis Head to Head
The pair have met once before, in a Challenger event in Milan in 2015. Delbonis won that match in straight sets.

Djere Gets Much-Needed First Round Win
Since winning his second senior ATP career title in Sardinia last October, Djere had endured a poor run of form, and had not won a match in the main draw of a tournament since. That included the Australian Open where he had the misfortune to be drawn against Rafael Nadal in the first round.
He missed Cordoba, so his first-round match against Marco Cecchinato of Italy, the main he beat in that Sardinia final, was his first on clay this year.
The first set was tight, with little to choose between the two men, and went to a tie-break, which again was keenly contested. However, at the wrong time, Djere produced two weak points on his own serve, and the Italian took the set.
However, Djere broke Cecchinato early in the second set, and was able to serve out to level.
The pair swapped breaks in the third set, but then Djere forced another break, and was able to hold on to it to bring an end to his losing sequence.

Delbonis Ends Cerundolo’s Run
Delbonis has good memories of this tournament, where he has once reached the semi-finals, and twice been a quarter-finalist.
And he had another good win in the first round where he ended the incredible run of the Argentine teenager Juan-Manuel Cerundolo.
The world 181 had surprised everybody by winning the title in Cordoba last week, but perhaps those exertions exerted a toll on the 19-year old, who had played eight matches in that event, including four three-setters.
The first saw five breaks of serve, but it was Delbonis who eventually clinched it 6 -3.
Two service breaks apiece in the second set meant that a tie-break was needed. Delbonis raced into a 6 -1 lead, and, although Cerundolo saved the first match point, he could do nothing about the second.
Djere v Delbonis Prediction and Tip
Delbonis won their previous encounter but that was nearly six years ago, and Djere has gone on to have the better career. Delbonis has got a good record in this event but, now that Djere has discovered how to win again, he is tipped to make the quarter-final.
Tip: Djere to win: 87/100 (bet365)
