Ons Jabeur v Katerina Siniakova Head to Head
There have been six matches played between these two players including one at the ITF circuit before this and Siniakova leads 5-1.
However, the five wins for Siniakova had come in a period between 2014 and 2018 when Jabeur was still growing as a player while their most recent match, which was held in Doha last year saw the Tunisian crush Siniakova in the first round.

Jabeur Consistent But Looking for a Deep Run
She has managed to sustain her ranking this season with some consistent performances in the four tournaments that Jabeur has played all season but in none of those competitions has she gotten past the third hurdle.
At the Abu Dhabi Open, which was the first tournament of the season for her, Jabeur lost the third round match against the eventual winner Aryna Sabalenka. Then again in the Australian Open, a third round exit to Naomi Osaka followed suit – again, the underlying theme being it took a player of the calibre of Sabalenka and Osaka to get the better of Jabeur.
More recently, last week, Jabeur won her opener in Doha but then fell to Karolina Pliskova in the second round leaving her with a few questions on how she should proceed and break the ranks while facing a top-10 player.
For now though, Jabeur kick-starts her campaign against a player ranked 68th in the world.

Siniakova in Early Struggle
Having made the quarterfinal of the Strasbourg Open and the third round at the French Open last year, Siniakova would have been sniffing at an improvement in her ranking. Unfortunately for her, Sinoakova has struggled to get a move on since then.
Other than making the final of an ITF tournament, Siniakova is yet to win a main draw match on the WTA tour, losing in the first round of all the four tournaments she has participated in. This includes a defeat to Angelique Kerber at the Grampians Trophy in Melbourne before Fiona Ferro sent her packing in the opener of the Australian Open as well.
A qualifying defeat at the WTA Doha last week has left Siniakova with a lot to do for the rest of the season and an opening round match against potentially a top-30 player makes it doubly difficult for her to get out of her mire.
Jabeur v Siniakova Prediction and Tip
Jabeur is a heavy favourite coming into this encounter, 1/3 to win it and 5/6 to do that in straight sets which is what we believe could happen here.
Tip: Jabeur to win in straight sets: 5/6 (bet365)
