Madison Keys v Anastasia Potapova Head to Head
The pair have met once before in the Australian Open in 2019, when Potapova was just 17-years-old. Keys won that match in straight sets, a second round encounter, coming through 6-3, 6-4.

World number 19 Keys was unable to play in Australia this year after testing positive for Covid-19, which was a pity for her as she would have been hoping for an extended run in the tournament.
Now recovered, it meant that she did not make her season debut until last week in Doha, where she got to the second round before losing to the Greek, Maria Sakkari, in straight sets.
Moving to Dubai, the draw was kind to her in the first round, giving her a match against the qualifier En Shuo-Liang of Taipei, the world 239.
Keys was on top from the start and raced through the first set in just 23 minutes, dropping just the one game.
The second set was equally one-sided, although Liang did, at least, have the satisfaction of earning three break points against the Keys’ serve, though she could not convert any of them. In the end, Keys took home the encounter 6-1, 6-1, which should give her a lot of confidence given she hasn’t played so much in recent times.

Potapova Enjoys Good Win over Siegemund
Teenager Potapova enjoyed a good win over the experienced German, Laura Siegemundon Monday, a woman ranked 32 places above her in the world.
The first set was dominated by serve, the only break coming in the third game which the Russian was able to force, going on to take the set. Potapova broke the German serve again early in the second set, but she could not hold on to the advantage this time, and Siegemund was able to break back once more.
Undeterred, Potapova forced another break and then consolidated her position by breaking the German for a third time. To her credit Siegemund saved two match points, but she could not stop Potapova converting the third.
Keys v Potapova Prediction and Tip
Keys will start this match as the favourite based on the difference in their ranking and experience. She also won the previous match between the two. However, she would do well not to underestimate the Russian teenager, who has been known to trouble higher-ranked players at times.
