Jil Teichmann v Barbora Krejcikova Head to Head
Krejcikova holds a 1-0 lead over the Swiss, last beating her in Ostrava in 2020. Interestingly, the duo crossed paths in the same tournament in the doubles half too.
Krejcikova, paired with Siniakova, won that match as well.

Barbora Krejcikova may be a renowned doubles specialist but now, she is on the prowl to make a name for herself in the singles circuit too.
The 25-year-old Czech hasn’t had the best of the runs this season but she has turned it all around in Dubai. So far, Krejcikova has beaten a few, formidable players like Maria Sakkari and former French Open winner Jelena Ostapenko. In the third round, she met Svetlana Kuznetsova – one of the most experienced Russian players – and beat her 6-3, 6-2 to reach the quarters.
With that win, she bettered her result recent result in the Grampians Trophy, where she reached the third round and fell to Jennifer Brady.
In the quarterfinal, Krejcikova met yet another Russian – this time a teenager in the form of Anastasia Potapova. The Czech made easy work of her opponent as she moved past her 6-0, 6-2.
Now, Barbora may not have done that well on the singles circuit but that does not mean she hasn’t got the winning experience or even playing under pressure in critical matches. As a doubles player, she has consistently reached the quarterfinal and even gone beyond in Grand Slams with her sparring partner Katerina Siniakova.
She is currently ranked #7 on the doubles circuit and can clearly make life difficult for her adversary, who hasn’t achieved half as much as the Czech.

Teichmann in Her Second Consecutive Semifinal
A couple of weeks ago, the 23-year-old Swiss was playing in Adelaide where she reached the semifinal but only to lose to Iga Swiatek.
Now, Teichmann finds herself in a similar boat in Dubai, outclassing her opponents in great style. She started her run against the Ukrainian qualifier Katarina Zavatska 6-1, 6-2. In the second round, she found herself against the in-form Petra Kvitova but got a walkthrough mid-way in the match as the Czech had to retire due to injury.
Next, she dispatched Ons Jabeur in straight sets to set up the quarterfinal clash with the American teen sensation Cori Gauff. Teichmann needed under 90 minutes to win that game comfortably with 6-3, 6-3.
In addition to Adelaide, the #54 ranked Swiss also reached the quarterfinal in the Phillip Island Trophy. Between that event and the last year’s Top Seed Open in August where she was the runner-up, Teichmann lost in the opening rounds in the majority of the events she featured in.
Krejcikova v Teichmann Prediction and Tip
Compared to Krejcikova, the Swiss may be faring better on the singles circuit but if we are to compare their overall wins and performances, Krejcikova may hold the edge.
This will make for an interesting match, one that is likely to see three sets.
