Camila Giorgi v Zarina Diyas Head to Head
It’s going to be a fourth meeting between the two. Diyas won a qualifying round in Miami in 2014. But since then the Italian has won the next two, winning in the first round in Hobart in 2016 and in the quarterfinals in Washington in 2019.

World No. 61 Camila Giorgi of Italy began her Lausanne campaign in style as she raced past Norway’s Ulrikke Eikeri in the first round on Tuesday.
The 29-year-old needed just 64 minutes to defeat the World No. 298, 6-2, 6-0.
The Italian converted five of eight break points in the match and saved both the break points that she faced to advance to the next round.
A two-time winner on the tour, the Italian won the ‘s-Hertogenbosch title in 2015 and the Linz Open in 2018. She also has six runner-up finishes, but is yet to reach final since losing to Magda Linette in New York in 2019.
Giorgi, who reached a career-high ranking of 26 in 2018, improved to 14-10, including qualifiers, this year. She was a semifinalist in Eastbourne and a quarterfinalist in Lyon.

Diyas Defeats Waltert
World No. 102 Zarina Diyas of Kazakhstan also got off to a good start as she knocked out Switzerland’s Simona Waltert in the first round on Monday.
The 27-year-old needed an hour and 19 minutes to beat Waltert 6-4, 6-4. Diyas was broken thrice by the Swiss player, while she converted five of nine break points. Thanks to the win, Diyas is now 10-12 from all matches, including qualifiers this year.
The former World No. 31 reached the third round of the Australian Open and the second round at Roland Garros but fell in the first round at Wimbledon to Anastasija Sevastova.
She has reached two WTA Finals, both at the Japan Open, winning the title in 2017 by beating Miyu Kato and finishing runner-up to Sam Stosur in 2014.
