Jannik Sinner will be featuring in the final of the European Open on Sunday.

The Italian, ranked No. 13 in the world, defeated Lorenzo Musetti in the Round of 16, Arthur Rinderknech in the quarterfinal and Lloyd Harris in the semifinal. What’s more, he didn’t drop a set in the three rounds leading up to the final against Diego Schwartzman.

The 20-year-old is 41-18 in a very successful season, which has already seen him pick three titles in Melbourne-1, Washington and Sofia.

He was also a finalist in Miami, finishing runner-up to Hubert Hurkacz.

Overall, he is 31-10 on hard courts and will be looking to go deep in Vienna as well. In the previous two years, he won the first round matches in the Austrian capital, but fell in the second round in both the years.

Consistency an Issue for Opelka

World No. 25 Reilly Opelka has had an up-and-down year. He won just two of his first nine matches, before making a stunning run to the semifinals in Rome.

Despite getting into a good rhythm in Rome, Opelka failed to keep the momentum going in the next couple of tournaments, but struck form again at the Canadian Masters, defeating Stefanos Tsitsipas in the semifinal to reach his first ever Masters 1000 final, but failed to win the title after going down to Daniil Medvedev.

Since then, he made his Round of 16 debut at the U.S. Open, but comes to Vienna on the back of two successive defeats. He lost to Grigor Dimitrov in the Round of 32 in Indian Wells and then lost to compatriot Jenson Brooksby in the first round in Antwerp.
