Tomas Etcheverry v Nikola Milojevic Head to Head
Their lone encounter came last year at the Biella 8 Challenger on clay with Etcheverry winning comfortably 7-5 6-3.

Golden Swing Glory for Etcheverry
Tomas Etcheverry has established himself as one of the better younger guys on the tour with the Argentinian making slow progress over the past year to get to where he is now.
He’s not yet in the top 100 but the golden swing presents a great opportunity. He played most of his matches on clay last year and posted a superb record scoring over 60 wins in total.
If he can replicate that level on the highest of levels he can certainly rise very high in the rankings. He possesses a very good clay game but he also has the tools to become a solid all-round player and he is fairly young. This swing on clay will be pivotal as he will have two events in Argentina to score some points.
Etcheverry started off the year in Australia where he played pretty well on hard courts. He cruised through the Australian Open qualifiers but lost to Pablo Carreno Busta in the first round of the Australian Open. He played a challenger in America after that but retired due to an injury and started off this Cordoba run with a win over Nicolas Jarry.

Milojevic’s Love For The Red Dirt
Hailing from Serbia means that Milojevic grew up on clay courts. Despite not being known to produce superb clay players most kids from that country spend a lot of time playing on the red dirt. For Milojevic, it’s been the same but unlike many of his compatriots, he embraced it.
Milojevic has a firm reputation of being a clay specialist as the Serbian rarely ventures away from the surface. Most of his success comes on the surface which is why this golden swing presents a brilliant chance for him to take another step forward. Many would argue that his talent far exceeds his current ranking and they would not be wrong.
The Serbian has what it takes but injuries and generally poor play have prevented him from reaching his full potential. He can do that here but he will need to step up his play compared to the start of the year. He opened fairly well in Australia reaching the main draw from the qualifiers and taking a set against Mackenzie McDonald.
His transition to clay was not good as he lost to Pablo Ficovich in the qualifiers but still got in as a lucky loser. He will need to do much better on his favourite surface if he hopes to enter the top 100.
Etcheverry v Milojevic Prediction and Tip
Two clay-court specialists will battle it out for round 3 of the Cordoba Open. Both, in theory, can win this match but their current form and generally their skill level on clay firmly set up one player as the favourite. It has to be the Argentinian who is playing at home, in front of his fans on the surface he calls home.
Milojevic is a strong clay player as well but never quite showed the level that Etcheverry currently possesses. The Argentinian is certainly more familiar with the surface having played exclusively on it for the majority of his life. His has the game to hurt Milojevic as well who tends to lose focus quite often.
The Serbian had the match in control against Ficovich in the qualifiers but lost focus and the match later on. That can’t happen against Etcheverry if he hopes to win. As a lucky loser, this is a great chance to snatch the 3rd round and points but I doubt he has the level to do it.
Tip: Etcheverry to win in straight sets: 6/5 (Click Here to Bet with bet365)
