Astra Sharma v Suzan Lamens Head to Head

Lamens Coming off W25 Title
Lamens arrives in Bogota in fine fashion and has successfully qualified for the main draw after defeating Gatto-Monticone and Bektas without dropping a set.
Reaching the main draw comes on the back-end of her winning the W25 Medellin ITF in Colombia dropping just one set throughout the entire tournament. On her way to the trophy, Lamens defeated Perez Garcia, Perrin, Pigossi, and Gatica, before topping off the impressive week with a win over In-Albon in the final, defeating the Swiss 6-4 6-2.
Lamens has really impressed on the ITF circuit this year, making a number of deep runs at tournaments, hopefully she can transfer this across to the WTA circuit, with a potential upset on the cards in Bogota.
Sharma v Lamens Prediction and Tip
Lamens is in fine form and is currently on a 7-match winning streak, so you expect she will bring her best tennis to the table against Sharma. However, clay is Sharma’s favourite surface and a former finalist in Bogota so this is going to be Lamens toughest test.
So much so, that I think this will be a step too far for Lamens and Sharma should advance to the next round.
