Federico Coria v Richard Gasquet Head to Head

Argentina’s Federico Coria marched into the third quarterfinal of the season with a straight sets victory over Bosnian qualifier Mirza Basic.
Broken just once in the first set, Coria broke Basic twice in each set to record a comfortable 6-4, 6-2 win over the World No. 215. The 79-minute victory follows a 7-5, 3-6, 6-4 win over seventh seed Alejandro Davidovich Fokina in the first round.
The two-hour-and-18-minute win over the World no. 45, followed by the win over Basic improved Coria to 8-7 in 2022.
The 30-year-old, who featured in a maiden final in Bastad last year, reached back-to-back quarterfinals in Buenos Aires and Rio this year but struggled on the hard courts.
Back on his favourite surface, Coria will be hoping to reach a first semifinal of the season.

Gasquet Ousts Kotov
This is 35-year-old Richard Gasquet’s third appearance in Morocco. He was a quarterfinalist in Casablanca in 2010, a semifinalist in Marrakech in 2018 and has returned to the last eight this season with a tough three-set win over 23-year-old Pavel Kotov.
While the win improved the Frenchman’s season record to 6-5, it kept Kotov winless in his four tour-level matches.
Ranked No. 86, Gasquet got just 51% of his first serves right, but he won 78% of those points. He also saved six of nine break points and converted four of five to win 6-3, 3-6, 6-3 in an hour and 49 minutes.
The Frenchman, a winner of 15 career titles and 17 runner-up finishes, also survived a scare in the first round, where he needed two hours and 20 minutes to dispatch Switzerland’s Henri
Laaksonen 7-5, 4-6, 6-4.
This will be Gasquet’s second quarterfinal appearance this year. Earlier he was in the last eight stage in Montpellier.
