Magda Linette v Varvara Gracheva Head to Head
The pair have never played each other before. This will be the first match between the 50 year old Pole, and Gracheva, who is nine years younger.

Whilst Iga Świątek continues to grab all the headlines for Polish women’s tennis, Linette keeps plugging away on the tour, and will be looking to find some form ahead of the French Open, where she reached the semi-finals of the doubles last year, by far her best result at any Grand Slam.
It has now been two years since she won the last of her two senior singles titles in Thailand, but she might take encouragement from her performance on the clay of Charleston last month, where she reached the quarter-finals.
Since then, and, after failing to qualify for Madrid, she has largely concentrated her efforts on the Challenger tour, reaching another quarter-final in Saint Malo, and reaching the second round in Paris last week.

Gracheva Took Madrid Winner to Three Sets
Gracheva’s clay court credentials can be seen from her days on the ITF tour, where she reached nine finals on the surface and won seven of them.
She has yet to translate that form to the senior tour, although she did reach the third round of the French Open last year.
Results for her have been mixed so far this season which has been spent alternating between the WTA and ITF tours.
Since the switch to clay she reached the second round in Istanbul, and again in Madrid, having come through qualifying. There she took Ons Jabeur, who would go on to win the event, to three sets in a tight match.
Like Linette she entered the tournament in Paris last week and went one round further, exiting at the quarter-final stage.
Linette v Gracheva Prediction and Tip
Courtesy of her seeding and higher world ranking, Linette will start the favourite, but it is unlikely to be plain sailing for the Pole against Gracheva.
