Botic van de Zandschulp v Emil Ruusuvuori Head to Head
There have been no previous competitive matches at the highest level between these two players. They did face off in an exhibition tournament in Germany last year where van de Zandschulp won in straight sets on clay.

Another solid performance at French Open helped van de Zandschulp retain his position as the 29th-ranked player in the world, which is also his career-best ranking.
The Dutchman, who had earlier finished up a runnerup in Munich – losing the final to an injury issue – made it as far as the third round at Roland-Garros before falling to the eventual champion Rafael Nadal.
Earlier this year, van de Zandschulp had also entered round three of Australian Open and then against at Indian Wells Masters.
Grass, however, will be a different cup of tea for van de Zandschulp with the Dutchman having won just one main draw match on this surface. That came at Wimbledon last year where van de Zandschulp needed to make it through as a lucky losing qualifier before he overcame Gregoire Barrere in his opener.

Ruusuvuori Also Equally Inexperienced
Much like his opponent, Ruusuvuori hasn’t had much of an experience on grass. The Finn, who is currently 62nd in the world, has featured in four tournaments on grass and made it to the main draw at only two.
At the first, in Eastbourne last year, Ruusuvuori managed to carve out a straight-set win over Albert Ramos-Vinolas before losing to Andreas Seppi. This was followed by a five set loss in the first round at Wimbledon.
Ruusuvuori enters the grass court swing on the back of some middling performances on clay.
He would have liked to do a lot better than his third round appearance in Barcelona and quarterfinals at Munich, falling in the second round at the French Open last week to the eventual finalist Casper Ruud.
With his opponent here also inexperienced on grass, things could get a tad interesting though and Ruusuvuori might not want to count himself out here despite a difference of more than 30 ranking places between them.

While van de Zandschulp starts off a favourite here (4/6 to win it), it could turn out to be a slugfest which goes the distance. Expecting a three-setter in this one.
