While Rybakina hasn’t played a lot on grass in her career, she has done enough to prove she could be handful if in full flight.
Having made the semifinal in this tournament in 2019, Rybakina proceeded to do the same in 2021 at the Eastbourne International and then carved out three easy victories to reach the round of 16 at Wimbledon last season.
On the other hand, clay hasn’t been much of a forte for Rybakina and that can be seen from her results on that surface earlier this season. She did manage a couple of wins at each of Madrid Open, Rome Open and the French Open but failed to go the distance.
What she would hope for is to turn things around on grass – and she has the game to do just that. It’s just a matter of getting into some kind of rhythm and make that transition quickly enough.

Loeb Finally Makes the Main Draw
It’s been a while since Loeb made it to the main draw of a tournament on the WTA circuit and for her to win back to back qualifiers to make it to the first round here would be a huge relief.
Having never been ranked better than 132nd in the world, Loeb is currently outside the top 225 of the world and even this qualification will go some way in helping her improve her rankings.
The question is if she has any kind of firepower in her tank to test a player ranked that high. Given Loeb had never even made it this far in a WTA grass court event before this, it sounds like a task beyond her means.

Rybakina should have no trouble here in getting past and in straight sets. We could be looking at a 6-3, 6-3 sort of a scoreline or better for the Kazakh, so if you are looking for the games handicap market that should also work.
