Djere Boosted by Clay Season

Djere started the season by reaching the quarterfinal in Adelaide. But since then, he suffered a loss of form and lost 6 of the next 7 matches he played.

In April, when the clay swing went to Marrakech, Djere made the semifinal there which gave him much needed confidence. He has been playing well since then and will be looking forward to the grass season positively.

Last year Djere played in Queens where he lost in three sets to Alex De Minaur and reached the second round of Wimbledon. He has a 2-7 career record on grass.

Despite being labelled as a clay court specialist, the Serbian has a very adaptable game style for all surfaces and should not be written off this grass swing. He has a very favorable round one draw in Halle and is potentially set to meet the winner of Aslan Karatsev vs Karen Khachanov.

Wildcard Squire Hoping to Make a Mark on Tour Level

21 year old Henri Squire received a wildcard into the main draw of Halle. He played in the Nottingham Challenger last week on grass to prepare for Halle.

Squire won both his qualifying matches against British players Stuart Parker and Charles Broom. He then suffered defeat to Jack Sock in the first round. This is his first grass season of his career.

The German local is currently at a career high ranking of 307. Notably, he reached the Doubles final of the 2018 Australian Open Boys’ tournament.

Squire has a 28-16 record this year with all matches played at a Futures or Challenger level.

Djere v Squire Prediction and Tip

Squire has a very good serve and neat game. He is very well rated by the German Tennis Federation and hence been given a wildcard directly into the main draw. However the experience of Djere will count much more, and the Serbian has a very good slice which he can effectively use on grass.

Tip: Djere to win and Over 21.5 Games: 6/5 (Click Here to Bet with bet365)
