Petra Martic v Weronika Falkowska Head to Head
The pair have never played each other before. This will be the first match between the 31 year old Croat, and the Pole, nine years her junior.

Martic arrives in Poland just having won the title in Lausanne, her second victory on the senior tour, the other having come three years ago, also on clay, in the Istanbul Cup.
She went into the event in Switzerland unseeded, but her run to the final saw her beat several higher ranked players, including two of whom,. Caroline Diaz and Nuria-Parrizas Diaz, are seeded ahead of her this week in Warsaw.
Now having beaten Olga Danilovic, the Croat will be hoping that her win is indicative of better things to come and she can begin to address the slide in her rankings that has seen her drift down from her high of number 14 in the world two years ago.
And, to be fair to her, she was one of those penalised by there being no ranking points on offer there this year because she reached the fourth round in South West London, before losing to the eventual winner, Elena Rybakina.

Second Successive Warsaw Appearance for Falkowwska
Falkowska made her senior WTA tour debut in this event last year as a lucky loser, and went on beat the woman who had defeated in her the final round of qualifying, Katerina Bondarenko, before losing in the second round.
Now she is back again, this time as a wildcard.
Most of the time she is to be found in the ITF tour, where she appeared in two clay court finals in May, although she finished ion the losing side each time.
Last week she was beaten by a Turkish player in the first round in an event in the Czech Republic.

Whilst Falkowska has home advantage that appears to be the only thing going for her in this match against a woman who has just won the title in Lausanne, and is playing with re-discovered confidence again.
