Facundo Bagnis v Corentin Moutet Head to Head
Bagnis leads the H2H 1-0, winning in straight sets in the 2018 Santiago challenger on clay.

Facundo Bagnis had last taken part in Umag back in 2019 and had reached the quarterfinal where he lost to Salvatore Caruso in straight sets.
He faced Argentinian talent Tomas Martin Etcheverry in the first round and was actually set as the underdog by bookmakers. However, he played a very stable style of tennis to overcome his compatriot 7-5, 6-3.
Bagnis was in mixed form heading into Umag. He had reached the semifinal of Salzburg challenger but then was not able to win any of his qualifiers in Bastad and Gstaad.
Currently ranked 120 in the world, the Argentinian is slipping out of the rankings quick and needs to find more wins at this level in order to Tour level tournaments at a consistent basis.
Bagnis is 23-20 on all surfaces this year, whereas he 38-23 last year. He hasn’t been able to defend his points from last year and being a clay court specialist, he will know how important Umag is in terms of his ranking. Umag is the last ATP clay court tournament this calendar year.

Moutet Makes Second Round in Umag for the First Time
Corentin Moutet has made it into the second round of Umag for the first time in his career, and he has done so through the hard way, winning two qualifiers to reach the main draw.
Moutet, currently ranked 116 in the world is in fine form as he won his qualifiers in straight sets and then defeated Daniel Altmaier in the first round in straight sets too (6-4, 6-2).
The Frenchman had also won the Lyon challenger on clay last month and had reached the semifinal of the Salzburg Challenger earlier this month.
Moutet had notably received a wild card into the main draw of the French Open where he defeated former champion Stan Wawrinka in the first round and then lost to Rafael Nadal in the second round.
Moutet was once an upcoming star in France and had reached 67 in the world rankings. However his lack of a big serve and inconsistency caused him to slip down the rankings.
Bagnis v Moutet Prediction and Tip
Moutet is the in form player between the two but Bagnis is the more consistent player of the two. Both players have good baseline games but Moutet is better at the net where as Bagnis is much stronger in holding serve. We should see a long battle here.
