Petra Martic v Kateryna Baindl Head to Head
Baindl leads 1-0; they last met in the 2015 Tashkent Open qualifiers where the Ukrainian won in straight sets.

Baindl On a Resurgent Path
Kateryna Baindl, current World No. 190, has posted her best WTA results since last year when she reached the semifinal in WTA Gdynia in July.
Since then, the 28-year-old Ukrainian has had to settle for early-round exits – in ITF and WTA events to some extent. In the former, she did see some success by reaching the final in Montpellier this month.
Apart from this, Baindl also was one of the elite eight in the Gaiba Challenger.
She began as a qualifier here in Warsaw and defeated Yulia Hatouka first. However, she lost to Jesika Maleckova in the final qualifying match.
The lucky loser rule got her through to the main draw and she made the most of that chance. Kateryna turned up the heat with straight-set wins over Maryna Zanevska and Sara Errani (6-2, 3-0). These results have improved her record to 16-14.

Martic in Form
Petra Martic, age 31, arrived in Warsaw on the back of a brilliant title run in Lausanne a couple of weeks ago. She won her first title there since September 2019 – beating the likes of Belinda Bencic, Caroline Garcia, and Olga Danilovic en route.
Before that, Croatian reached the fourth round in Wimbledon to record her best Grand Slam performance of the season.
It has been a rocky year for Petra, whose deep runs in the Indian Wells Open and Italian Open were undone by a litany of first-round losses in other tournaments. All things considered, she is now 25-13 – including the two wins in the Poland Open.
Her campaign so far saw her beat rising, young Polish players – notably Weronika Falkowska (7-5, 6-4) and Maja Chwalinska (6-3, 3-6, 6-3).
Martic v Baindl Prediction and Tip
This match is Martic’s to lose – she has a far superior pedigree, fondness for clay, and momentum from the last couple of tournaments. No major surprises to be expected here.
Tip: Martic to Win, Over 20.5 Games: 11/8 (Click Here to Bet with bet365)
