Daria Kasatkina v Shelby Rogers Head to Head
Two previous matches have taken place between these two players and both have won once apiece.
The first came in 2017 at the Miami Open where it was Rogers who registered a three-set win before Kasatkina finally had her revenge earlier this year at the French Open.

Paula Badosa is the world number four and had gone into her semifinal match as a 4/6 favourite but to add to that, she had shown remarkable poise in dispatching Cori Gauff in her previous round.
Kasatkina looked unperturbed by all that as she registered a straight-set win over Badosa to set up a finals meeting with Rogers.
In an encounter lasting an hour and 23 minutes, Kasatkina rode to a 6-2, 6-4 victory after being rarely tested by her opponent. The first set, in fact, would have been a blur for Badosa with her opponent dropping just four points on her serve.
It was in the second set that Badosa fought back with a break of serve, taking a 2-0 lead but back to back breaks for Kasatkina were enough to seal the deal.

Rogers Cruises Past Kudermetova
Rogers had kick-started the week ranked 45th in the world. Four wins on, she has broken into the top 30 of the WTA Rankings with a possibility of some more improvement with another victory in the final.
And it’s not just that Rogers has won four in a row, it’s the opposition and the manner of victories too.
Bianca Andreescu was her first victim, and she followed it up by sending the top seeded Maria Sakkari out in the second round. Amanda Anisimova has been a form player for a while now and Rogers crushed her before registering a win over Veronika Kudermetova in the semifinal.
All these wins came in straight sets too, with the eight games that Anisimova won being the most she has conceded in an encounter all tournament.
