Soon woo Kwon v Daniel Altmaier Head to Head
The pair have never played each other before. This will be the first match between the 29 year old South Korean, and the German, six years his junior.

Kwon Struggling for Form
Last year in Nur-Sultan, Kwon became the first South Korean to win on the main tour for 18 years, and was only the second man from his country to win a senior title in the Open Era,
However, he has failed to build on that, and his ranking could be about to drop further once he loses the points he gained from that win.
In fact, it is an indication of the state that his form has been in since, that he has not been further than the second round of any tournament since that victory in Kazakhstan.
He did not even make the main draw in either Montreal or Cincinnati, beaten in the first round of qualifying both times.

Altmaier Finding it Hard to Bridge the Gap From the Challenger Tour
Altmaier has enjoyed a good deal of success on the Challenger tour in the past 15 months. He reached four finals in 2021, winning three of them, and he has already featured in two this year, winning an event on home soil in Heilbron in May.
Given that three of those finals have been on hard courts, the surface should hold no fears for the German.
What he has failed to do so far is bridge the gap successfully to the main tour.
Indeed since that win in Germany, the only time he has reached the second round of an ATP tournament was in Mallorca on grass.
More recently, he failed to qualify for both Montreal and Cincinnati.
Kwon v Altmaier Prediction and Tip
Given the recent poor form of both men and the fact that they are separated by just one place in the world rankings, picking a winner from this match is no easy task.
Kwon, though, knows what it is like to win an ATP event, and, if he can draw on those memories, might just edge this.
Tip: Kwon to win in three sets: 3/1 (Click Here to Bet with bet365)
