Maxime Cressy v Adrian Mannarino Head to Head
There has been one previous meeting between these players before this which came earlier this year in Sydney.
Cressy had won that opening round encounter in straight sets.

It took Cressy three sets and a couple of tie-breakers to overcome Lorenzo Sonego in the third round after having eased through his opener against James Duckworth. Cressy had had a first round bye.
In a match that went the distance, lasting two hours and 49 minutes, Cressy needed to get past a first set deficit before winning in three. He clinched it 6-7, 6-2, 7-6 to make it through to the quarterfinals of an event for the first time in this US Open Series.
Cressy faced just one break-point in the entire encounter and while he lost his serve on it, he was able to break back three times. Two of those came in the second set, while the third happened when he was serving for a 3-1 lead in the decider.
He will now hope he can emulate what he had done at the Newport Open, the last tournament at which Cressy had made the quarters. There, he had gone the distance, winning his maiden ATP title.

Mannarino Makes it Three in Three
Albert Ramos-Vinolas is primarily a clay court player and that’s why Mannarino had walked into their third round match as a favourite despite the difference in the ranking in the Spaniard’s favour.
And Mannarino lived up to the favourites tag as he romped into the last eight stage for the second time in this US Open Series, winning three successive matches for only the third time this season.
Mannarino, who had overcome Chris O’Connell in his opener and stunned Emil Ruusuvuori in the second, registered a 6-3, 6-3 win over Ramos-Vinolas to seal his quarterfinal berth.
Against a player of Cressy’s calibre though, he could find the going slightly tougher than he has so far.

Cressy is a favourite here and while his one eye would be on the bigger prize by the name of the US Open next week, he should come through here.
