Laslo Djere v Marc-Andrea Huesler Head to Head
They played once this year and Djere won 7-5 6-2 on clay.

Djere Eyeing First Hard Court Final
Laslo Djere played in three ATP finals before and all of the were on clay. He won two of them and lost the most recent one but it’s obvious that clay is his home. He never did well on hard courts because his game generally doesn’t work on the surface.
It did work this week as the Serbian was able to outlast a couple of opponent in three set clashes to book the semi-final against a player he smashed not too long ago. The Serbian has a negative score on hard in his career (41-52) but he is 7-5 this year showing clear signs of improvement.
Teh year overall is 21-19 which is solid but his form was not that great before coming here. He skipped both Masters events using only this one as his prep and it’s proving like a great decision. There is worry about his fitness having won all four matches this week in three sets.
There is some exhaustion for sure but if he can pull out some reserves, he might find himself in a final tomorrow.

Huesler’s Dream Week
Similar to his opponent, Huesler has never played in a hard court final before. The Swiss player never played in any ATP singles final before which makes this a huge chance for him. It’s been a dream week for him so far and it’s not too hard to imagine that it might continue.
The victories have been impressive. Mikael Ymer (in great form), Ilya Ivashka (defending champion) and Jack Draper (in great form). Before that, he even played in the qualifiers and did really well there as well. Overall it’s just been an impressive week for the Swiss.
Some would say it’s just one of those weeks where everything works and it really is that way. He plays an incredibly bold brand of tennis never thinking too much about questioning his playstyle. It all starts with his brutal serve which is both strong and precise. He doesn’t always serve well but when it works like this week it’s incredible.
He will fancy himself, especially against a tired Djere.
Djere v Huesler Prediction and Tip
Laslo Djere did beat him on their preferred surface of clay recently in Bastad but this matchup might go differently. Huesler’s game is naturally more suited for hard courts than that of Djere and I think it will matter. He will also have his serve backing him which is important.
I’m not counting out Djere completely which is why I would play the over as a safe option. In case you want to play the winner, I’m leaning toward Huesler.
Tip: Over 20.5 games in the match: 5/6 (Click Here to Bet with bet365)
