Lin Zhu v Ankita Raina Head to Head
Zhu holds a 3-0 lead over Raina; they last met in the ITF Suzhou in 2019, where Lin won 6-4, 6-4.

Zhu in a Decent Form
World No. 70 Lin Zhu is just one spot shy of reaching her career-best singles ranking. Given her form this season, it is quietly that she will achieve a new personal high before the end of the year.
The 28-year-old is now 33-20, having beaten Su-Jeong Jang in the Korea Open first round 6-3, 6-4.
Although she has not fared that well in the WTA tournaments so far in 2022, that may change in Seoul when considering her comparatively open draw. She is well-positioned to reach the quarterfinal in this 250 event, where she will meet the winner of the Tatjana Maria-Kimberly Birrell match.
Most of Lin’s wins have come on the ITF circuit, where she has picked up three titles, alongside reaching the late-rounds in a handful of other events.
Zhu last played in the US Open, where she lost in the qualifiers to Sachia Vickery.

Raina Moves Past Inglis
Ankita Raina finds herself navigating a precious season on the WTA Tour. She is now 21-19 and ranked World No. 329.
In Seoul, she survived a three-set affair with Maddison Inglis, ultimately winning 4-6, 7-5, 6-1. The 29-year-old Indian originally started as a qualifier and moved past Riya Bhatia and Valentini Grammatikopoulou to reach the main draw.
Ankita’s season has been largely uneventful, with an ITF final in Aldershot and a few late-round stints in Bendigo, Chiang Rai, and Nottingham being her major highlights.
She last played in the Chennai Open, where she was beaten by Tatjana Maria in the opener with 0-6, 1-6.
Zhu v Raina Kasintseva Prediction and Tip
Zhu is the heavy favourite here, and given her form, it is hard to imagine her losing to Raina. However, upsets can happen, and at 11/4, the Indian makes for an appealing underdog bet for those interested.
That said, backing Zhu is the safer option here.
