Anna Blinkova v Lulu Sun Head to Head

Not a lot of people are familiar with Lulu Sun but that may change by the end of the week. The 21-year-old Swiss, who was born in New Zealand, is looking to leave her mark in the Korea Open 2022.
She started as a qualifier and beat the likes of Justina Mikulskyte and Victoria Jimenez Kasintseva to reach the main draw. There, she stunned fellow qualifier Lizette Cabrera 7-6(6), 6-2.
With this, Sun has posted her best WTA results on the tour with her last similar result being in Granby where she reached the first-round as a qualifier, but lost to Diane Parry. Sun has also assured herself of some movement in the singles ranking, her current position being No. 340.
Her pedigree is understandably slim with a sole ITF doubles title being her only silverware in 2022. She is now 20-18.

Blinkova Beats Gracheva
Unlike Sun, Anna Blinkova from Russia has had a far better season in 2022.
She is ranked World No. 146 and is 32-24, armed with three ITF singles finals and one doubles title. On the WTA Tour, she was the runner-up in the Saint-Malo Challenger (losing to Beatriz Haddad Maia) and the finalist in the Chennai Open last week with Dzalamidze.
The same also reflected in her first-round win this week when she beat the number five seed Varvara Gracheva 6-4, 7-6(1).
It also marked a much-needed turnaround for Blinkova, who had been struggling with her form of late. She lost to Rebecca Marino in the Chennai Open first round while in US Open, she couldn’t move past the qualifiers. Similar results also marked her spell across the Vancouver Challenger and Prague Open.
Blinkova v Sun Prediction and Tip
Blinkova is the heavy favourite here, but at 12/5, Sun makes for an appealing underdog bet to make. Punters may want to consider that, but for those seeking a safer option, a straight-set win for Blinkova or handicap spreads are the way to go.
