Taro Daniel v Emilio Gomez Head to Head
The pair have never played each other before.
This will be the first meeting between the 29 year old Japanese, and the man from Ecuador, who is a year older.

Daniel’s Up and Down Season
Daniel has enjoyed a mixed year, with highlights including making the third round of the Australian Open for the first time after coming through qualifying and reaching the quarter-finals in Belgrade.
There have also been plenty of low points as well, and he had a disappointing North American hard court season, culminating in a first round defeat at the US Open at the hands of Richard Gasquet of France.
Since then he competed last week in San Diego, where he opened his campaign with a straight sets win over the American wildcard Emilio Nava.
However, he was well beaten in turn in his next match by Dan Evans of Great Britain, the top seed for that tournament.

Gomez Has Enjoyed Challenger Success in 2022
Gomez has enjoyed a fine year on the Challenger tour, appearing in four finals, and winning two titles, on home soil in April, and in Winnipeg in July.
He also featured in a doubles’ final in Malaga, finishing on the losing side two months ago.
His ventures on to the main tour have been less successful – although he made the first round of the Australian Open in January, he failed to qualify for any of the other Grand Slams.
The Ecuadorean was last in action in a Challenger event in Columbus, USA, where he reached the last eight, but, prior to that, won both his ties for his country in the Davis Cup against Switzerland.
Daniel v Gomez Prediction and Tip
Daniel will start this match favourite because of his greater familiarity with the main tour, and knowledge of playing in Asian conditions.
Tip: Daniel to win: 5/7 (Click Here to Bet with bet365)
