Belinda Bencic v Donna Vekic Head to Head
It is advantage Bencic with 3-1; they last met in the same round but of the 2019 US Open. The Swiss won that in straight sets.

Bencic Moves Past Boulter
World No. 14 Belinda Bencic was put to test by Katie Boulter in round two here in Tallinn. The second seed won the match 6-4, 6-7(2), 6-3 in two hours and 44 minutes – after beating Elena Malogina 6-0, 6-2 in the opener.
Of course, that brings into question if she will face similar issues with Vekic, who is a formidable opponent on her best day. For what it is worth, Belinda can back her play with a decent season.
She won the title in Charleston and later was the runner-up in the German Open. Most recently, she was among the fight eight in the Lausanne Open and Canadian Open (beating the likes of Serena Williams and Garbine Muguruza in the latter).
Her record has now improved to 35-16, and of course, as a former world number four, her pedigree or abilities need no introduction.

Vekic Stuns Zhang
Donna Vekic made quick work of the Estonian wildcard Maileen Nuudi, beating her 6-2, 6-0 in the first round. She followed that with a resounding, 6-2, 6-4 upset of the in-form Chinese Shuai Zhang.
That win marks her first tour-level quarterfinal since the Birmingham Classic. Between then and now, the 26-year-old Croat was beaten in the opening matches – including the first-round exit in the Slovenia Open this month.
Now ranking World No. 85, Vekic hasn’t been in that great of a form – largely due to her surgery and the consequent recuperation. Her record now stands at 19-17 as she sets her sights on her first semis since the Courmayeur Open last October.
Given how she has fared this week in Estonia, Donna will be confident of keeping this run going. After all, she has beaten her fair share of prominent players over her career, and Bencic is not too tough of a nut to crack.
Bencic v Vekic Prediction and Tip
Bencic is the odds-on favourite, but given how Vekic has been performing this week, an upset is on the cards. Expect a fierce clash.
