Jelena Ostapenko v Aliaksandra Sasnovich Head to Head
Ostapenko leads 4-0 with two wins a piece from Wimbledon and St. Petersburg Trophy. They last met in February this season in Russia, where Jelena won in three sets.

Jelena Ostapenko, seeded number eight for the Ostrava Open 2022, is coming off an early exit in the Tallinn Open last week.
In her defence, she was up against the veteran Estonian, home favourite Kaia Kanepi, who has seen her fair share of wins against the elites on the circuit. Osptaneko lost to Kaia in three sets in the opener.
On the bright side, that got her some much-needed rest – considering that she was in a different part of the world the week before. Jelena played in the Korea Open in Seoul, where she was the finalist; that was also her third singles final of the season.
A quick trip to the Baltics thereafter may not have done well for her form but all things considered, the Latvian is certainly ready for Ostrava. Her tally stands at 29-17, but overall, she has had a good year.
Ostapenko also fared well on the doubles circuit by winning the Birmingham Classic and Cincinnati Open.

Sasnovich, with a Career-Best Season
Aliaksandra Sasnovich is enjoying the best season of her career. She is already 34-18, outperforming her previous best season in 2018 (26-22).
Not only that, she is the current World No. 31, and for a brief period, she peaked at a career-high of #29 in September.
Her runner-up feat in Melbourne Summer Set and the Cleveland Open are among her highlights. Sasnovich also featured in the fourth round of the French Open and Miami Open, beating the likes of Daria Kasatkina, Emma Raducanu, and Angelique Kerber en route.
The 28-year-old last played in the US Open, and following a long rest, she is set to resume her season in the Czech Republic.
Ostapenko v Sasnovich Prediction and Tip
Ostapenko will start as the favourite, but given Sasnovich’s form and confidence, she will fancy her chances of carving an upset and finally getting the better of the Latvian.
