Elena Rybakina v Petra Kvitova Head to Head

Winning the Wimbledon brought with it its own challenges for Rybakina with the Kazakh resuming competitive tennis after that title victory with a 4-4 win-loss record.
Since then Rybakina did manage to make it to the final of the Slovenia Open where she fell to Katerina Siniakova but then lost in the first round to Liudmilla Samsonova last week in Tokyo.
Here, Samsonova has managed a three-set win against both her first two opponents, coming back from a set down in both those matches to come through.
After a fighting three-set win over Madison Keys in the first round, Rybakina overcame Aliaksandra Sasnovich 6-7 (5), 6-4, 7-5 in two hours and 34 minutes to clinch another quarterfinal berth.

Kvitova Sends Badosa Packing
Paula Badosa rose to number two in the world and is currently fourth on the WTA charts. Her recent form, however, meant she had started off a second-favourite in her second round match against Kvitova and the Czech player lived up to those 3/5 odds to win this.
Kvitova registered a 7-6 (4), 6-4 win against the Spaniard in a match lasting a touch over two hours.
While Kvitova saved five break-points in the first set and then went on to win the tie-breaker that followed, the two shared breaks of serves in the second set to take the score to 3-3.
From there on, the Eastbourne International winner and the Cincinnati Open finalist came through with a crucial break in the seventh game of the second set.
Kvitova won it on her eighth match-point to set up this meeting against a fellow Wimbledon winner.

Rybakina starts off a minor favourite at 9/10 but we can expect Kvitova to get herself going again and using her experience to send her opponent out.
