Felix Auger-Aliassime v Lorenzo Musetti Head to Head
There have been three previous meetings between these two players and Musetti leads the head to head 2-1. All of these matches, including the most recent one at the Monte-Carlo Masters – which Musetti won – have come on clay though.

In what turned out to be a reasonably straightforward quarterfinal win, Auger-Aliassime moved past Brandon Nakashima in straight sets to seal his last-four berth.
Auger-Aliassime won 6-3, 6-4 in an hour and 29 minutes, as he grew into the encounter after a bit of a slow start.
Having needed three sets against Oscar Otte in the first round, Auger-Aliassime dropped his serve in the very first game of the match but never again throughout the encounter. Instead, he broke the San Diego Open winner twice in the first set to take the lead and then again in the first game of the second set.
That was all he needed as he lost just seven points on his own serve in the second set to carve out his win.

Musetti Continues His Solid Run
More known for his solidity on clay, Musetti has continued to impress in indoor hardcourt surfaces already this month as he reached his second successive semifinal. In doing so, he sent American Mackenzie McDonald packing out.
Musetti carved out a 6-3, 6-2 win over McDonald in an hour and 17 minutes to follow up on another easy win in the previous round where he had gotten the better of Bernabe Zapata Miralles. This was after he had a first round bye.
Having also made it as far as this stage two weeks ago in Sofia, Musetti raced away to a 4-0 lead in the first set before dropping his serve for the first and only time in the match. That did not deter him from winning the set after saving a couple of break-points in the next service game.
The second set was easier as Musetti broke his opponent twice more after both players had saved two break-points apiece in the previous games.
