Two title wins in the year 2022 have ensured that Musetti enters this competition ranked 23rd in the world, having once been ranked 83rd on the charts this season.
Musetti’s maiden tournament victory at the highest level came at the ATP Hamburg in July, where he shocked Carlos Alcaraz in the final.
This was followed by a win over Matteo Berrettini in the final of the Napoli Open where he clinched his second ATP title. And now coming into this competition, Musetti was a shock quarterfinalist at the Paris Masters last week.
This was his best showing in the Masters 1000 tournament, and helped him jump to his current, career-best ranking.
Musetti starts off as a tournament favourite and should not have too many issues in his opener.

Tseng on a Four-Match Losing Streak
While it has been a season to remember for Tseng after improving from 190th to his career-best of 83rd on the ATP Rankings, he doesn’t quite have the kind of form he would have liked coming into this opening match here.
Since making it to the second round at the Winston-Salem Open in August, Tseng has barely won anything.
Tseng’s last 10 matches have yielded only two wins, with four successive losses coming from the last four encounters.
His other top performances came on the Challenger circuit but now coming up against Musetti, things might not turn out to be easy unless his opponent becomes too complacent.
Musetti v Tseng Prediction and Tip
This looks to be a straightforward result in favour of Musetti with the only question being if he can manage a straight-set win. We think that could well be the case.
