Stefanos Tsitsipas v Matthew Ebden Head to Head

This is the first time that the two players are set to meet each other on the ATP Tour.

Tsitsipas Reaches His Career-Best Ranking

The 20-year-old Greek is heading into this fixture after winning the Open 13 Provence in Marseille last week. That was his first title of the season and he won that without losing a single set in the entire tournament.

In the final, he defeated Mikhail Kukushkin preceded by the Belgian ace David Goffin. With that, he has now won 11 matches this season and has lost only four. Courtesy of his remarkable form, he is now the World No. 11, just a few ranking points shy of a top 10 entry.

Earlier this year, he was also a semifinalist in the Australian Open, where he ultimately lost to Rafael Nadal after moving past Roger Federer and Roberto Bautista Agut. In fact, the only time he failed to reach the quarterfinal of an event was in Rotterdam, where he lost shockingly in the first round to Damir Dzumhur.

Ebden Hoping for a Good Run

Ebden may be a player who is years ahead in terms of experience but when it comes to his form, he seriously lacks it to make an impact on the tour.

So far this season, he has been quite underwhelming having lost in the early rounds in Sydney, Melbourne, Sofia, and most recently, Rotterdam.

However, Ebden is a player who is capable of pulling a surprise here and there. Last year, he reached the semifinal in ‘S-Hertogenbosch, Atlanta, and later, he was a quarterfinalist in the Shanghai Masters. He also reached the third round in Wimbledon where he defeated David Goffin in his opening match.

Tsitsipas v Ebden Predictions & Tips

Tsitsipas will be expected to win this one comfortably in straight sets, with bet365 offering 8/13 for the Greek to win this with 2-0. He is in a superior form and has the rhythm to get past Ebden without breaking a sweat.
