Our 2023 WTA Linz Open Predictions & Picks

It’s been over a year now since Maria Sakkari made her Top 10 debut. However, the Greek star hasn’t been able to add to the lone WTA title she won in Rabat in 2019.

Sakkari will be the overwhelming favorite to walk away with the title in Linz but has suffered two demoralizing defeats this year, at the United Cup and Australian Open respectively.

Donna Vekic has found her groove and is playing at a higher level right now and I expect big things from the Croat in 2023. The indoor conditions should suit Vekic’s style of play.

Another player who could excel under the roof is Ekaterina Alexandrova. The Russian has won over 100 matches on indoor hard courts at pro level and should come in with high expectations.
