Felix Auger-Aliassime v Maxime Cressy Head to Head
Their only previous meeting came at the 2022 Wimbledon and it was Cressy who won that first round match in four gruelling sets.

A win-loss record of 7-4 cannot be called bad by any stretch, especially this early in the season but Auger-Aliassime would have loved to do a lot better.
A lot better than bowing out of the first round at the Adelaide International. And more so losing in the fourth round at the Australian Open too.
Auger-Aliassime followed that up with back to back wins at both, the Rotterdam Open and the Doha Open but failed to make it three victories in a row. Both times, he fell to Daniil Medvedev.
This is the same player who came into the season on the back of four tournament wins in 2022. And he is yet to make a final this year.
In fact forget making the final, Auger-Aliassime has looked slightly shaky even in the matches he has won, including the three rounds at the Australian Open where he needed four, five and four sets respectively.
Can he now leave those woes behind him and try and inch his way deeper into this tournament?

Cressy 7-5 for the Season
This is an interesting comparison. While Auger-Aliassime has won seven matches from the 11 he has played, Cressy has a seven from 12 record – not so dissimilar. It gives an indication of not just Cressy’s performances but also that of the Canadian’s struggles this season.
Cressy, who had lost in the second round of three tournaments including the Australian Open, Rotterdam Open and Marseille Open last week, has one solid showing under his belt for the season.
The American made it all the way to the final of the Montpellier Open which included wins over Borna Coric, Emil Ruusuvuori and Holger Rune. Rune had earlier sent him packing from the Australian Open.
And while Cressy proved no match for Jannik Sinner in the title-decider he had done enough to be a serious threat for Auger-Aliassime in this match.
Auger-Aliassime v Cressy Prediction and Tip
A fighting Cressy could make life difficult for Auger-Aliassime but can he win. We think we could see a tie-breaker in one of the sets and/or a third set but Auger-Aliassime to still come through.
