This will be their first meeting on the WTA Tour.

Navarro in her First WTA Tournament of 2023
Emma Navarro of the United States is set to compete in her first WTA event of the season in Monterrey.
The 21-year-old, who has featured in only three events so far, is coming in with a fair amount of momentum. Most notably, she won the ITF Naples and followed it with a runner-up feat at ITF Vero Beach.
That was in January, with her next tournament being the ITF Irapuato in Mexico. There, the current World No. 134 ended up losing to Raluka Serban of Cyprus in the first round itself in straight sets.
Last season, Navarro clocked in an impressive tally of 31-18 of which, she was 8-8 on hard courts and 23-10 on the dirt track. Of course, this does not speak much about her overall form as she has largely focussed on the ITF events so far.

Jeanjean, Seeking Momentum
Leolia Jeanjean of France is heading into the 2023 Monterrey Open with a singles tally of 4-3 this season. All those wins have come in the qualifying rounds, which means she is still on the prowl for her first WTA win of the year.
Like Navarro, Jeanjean too has had a slow year with the Australian Open and last week’s Merida Open being her only two stints.
In the first case, she beat Irina Bara and Kayla Day before losing to Lesia Tsurenko in the last prelim match. In Merida, the 27-year-old dismissed Erika Andreeva and Despina Papamichail to reach the main draw, where she lost to Sloane Stephens.
Jeanjean’s record last year was 43-23 with consistent results on all turfs.
Navarro v Jeanjean Prediction and Tip
The 112th-ranked Leolia has a better chance of winning this one on paper, but in reality, anything can happen. The Frenchwoman is experienced while Navarro has a superior pedigree with three junior Grand Slam finals (two doubles, one singles) and multiple ITF finals. Expect a cracking game.
Tips:
- Low-Risk Tip: Navarro to win: 7/10 (Click Here to Bet with bet365)
