Stefanos Tsitsipas v Félix Auger-Aliassime Head to Head

This is the first time these two youngsters, a 20-year-old and an 18-year-old are facing off in a match against each other.

Hectic Start for Tsitsipas

Sure he is still young and can clock the miles, but Tsitsipas has already played 23 matches this season, just two odd months into the year. It began with a Hopman Cup foray where he featured in three matches and lost two of them including once to Roger Federer.

A second round exit at the Sydney International wasn’t the best preparation in question, but he then strolled past a host of players including Federer at the Australian Open to make it to the semi-finals. Two defeats in three matches at Sofia and Rotterdam followed before he clinched the title at Marseille.

And then, for the third time this season, he faced Federer. This time it was at the final of the Dubai Open and the 20-time Grand Slam winner won it in straight sets to clinch the title.

How will he go in this tournament?

Things were going rather slowly for the Canadian with the odd main draw appearance at the ATP level including one at Pune, where he lost to Ivo Karlovic and Buenos Aires, where he against went down in his opener to Christian Garin.

It was after that things suddenly changed and how.

Four wins in a row at ATP Rio won him a runner-up trophy at that tournament, before the Sao Paulo Open quarter-final appearance. And he now faces Tsitsipas on the back of a first round rout of UK’s Cameron Norrie, winning 6-3, 6-2 to make it to round two.

Stefanos Tsitsipas v Félix Auger-Aliassime Tips & Predictions

While Tsitsipas is odds on favourite, the odds for his win are a solid 5/13 (Betfair) for now, which is the best you would probably get for the Greek in these early days of his career. Even better, go for a straight-set win for Tsitsipas.

Tip: Tsitipas to win 2-0: 1/1 (Unibet)
