Caroline Garcia won the title by defeating Donna Vekic in a final that lasted the distance. Vekic took the first set but Garcia came back to clinch the next two in thrilling tie-breakers to lift the trophy. Vekic had come into the final bidding to win the title for the second time.

Yulia Putintseva and Dayana Yastremska opted out of the competition because of fitness concerns and Tatjana Maria and Evgeniya Rodina were bumped up to being seeded players. Maria even went on to make it to the semifinals where she lost to Vekic while Garcia overcame Jennifer Brady.
