What Happened at the 2019 WTA Strasbourg Open?

The 2019 edition of the Strasbourg Open was won by Dayana Yastremska who needed three sets – and a tie-breaker in the third – to edge past Caroline Garcia in the final to lift the trophy. Ash Barty, who would later go on to win the French Open, opted not to participate in the competition despite being the top seed, as did the defeding champion Anastasia Pavlyuchenkova.
