The ATP Next Gen Finals provides the limelight on the players who could go on to replicate the likes of Roger Federer, Rafael Nadal, Novak Djokovic and Andy Murray in the future but in a very unique way.

The tournament is played with slightly different rules and that allows fans a far lighter atmosphere but at the same time it quickens the pace of the sport. Which is why it becomes even more interesting for us to dish out the ATP Next Gen Finals tips which can be found below.

2018 ATP Next Gen Finals Tips:

Andrey Rublev v Jaume Munar Betting Tips:
Andrey Rublev to win 3-1 or 3-2: 13/5 or 5/1 (Betway)

Stefanos Tsitsipas v Alex De Minaur Betting Tips:
Stefanos Tsitsipas to win: 13/20 (Unibet)

This season too, like last year, eight players will feature in the tournament, divided into two groups of four apiece. Each player will feature in three matches and at the end of that, the top two players from the two groups will make it to the semi-finals. There will be a final after that.

What will be different is that the matches will consist of five sets but each set will be to four games instead of six and the tie-breaker will be held at 3-3.

Just like in the mixed doubles competitions these days, there will be a no-ad rule, which means if a game gets to deuce, the player winning the next point will win the game. Bit like the Twenty20 version in cricket.

Matches will also need to begin within five minutes of the arrival of the second player with the time allocated between points restricted to 25 seconds. What makes it more interesting for the fans is that they will be allowed to move between points other than at the baseline.

Last season, the eight players in action were Alexander Zverev, Denis Shapovalov, Stefanos Tsitsipas, Frances Tiafoe, Taylor Fritz, Andrey Rublev and Alex de Minaur along with the eventual champion, South Korea’s Chung Hyeon.

Hyeon had beaten Rublev in the final, winning 3–4(5–7), 4–3(7–2), 4–2, 4–2.

Since only players aged less than 21 are allowed to participate in this competition, Hyeon wouldn’t be able to participate again. The player-list for this year’s ATP Next Gen Finals is:

Stefanos Tsitsipas
Frances Tiafoe
Taylor Fritz
Andrey Rublev
Alex de Minaur
Hubert Hurkacz
Jaume Munar
Liam Caruana
