Federer Looking for Another Indian Wells Semi-Final
Roger Federer has looked in imperious form since winning the Dubai Open, which was his 100th ATP title. Federer has looked better with every match at Indian Wells thus far, especially in his last two rounds against Stanislas Wawrinka and Kyle Edmund.
All aspects of the Federer game, i.e. the serve, forehand and single handed backhand have been clicking and he will hope it continues through the week.
Federer is a five-time Indian Wells winner, along with Novak Djokovic and with the Serb out already, Federer will fancy his chances for a record title number six. The Swiss will be aware of a potential mouth – watering match-up with Spaniard Rafael Nadal looming in the semi finals, if both make it through their quarter finals respectively.
Hurkacz Hoping to Continue Dream Run
Unseeded Polish Hubert Hurkacz has been in fine form at the tournament taking out Kei Nishikori and Denis Shapovalov in the previous rounds. Hurkacz has been on the tour for a relatively short period of time, but made inroads already.
The hard-hitting Hurkacz has looked to attack the serve of his opponents and done so successfully thus far. He had a good start to the year and has kept it going through Dubai and Indian Wells. Hurkacz has been down a set twice already and come back to win in three sets.
The Pole will be aware that his game needs to be at the best level, to challenge Roger Federer.

Hurkacz will look to be at his hard hitting best and attack the Federer second serve if he wants to win this encounter. He does have the tools to unsettle the Swiss, but it will nevertheless be a tall order. Federer, with his vast array of tricks and experience, will probably have too much in the bag for Hurkacz. Expect Federer to win in straight sets.
