WTA Tennis Calendar - Latest Women's Tennis Schedule for 2019

The WTA Tennis Calendar for the 2019 season has been released and it will kick-start in the first week of January as always. Below is the 2019 WTA calendar and its corresponding tour schedule for 2019.

Here’s the overall 2019 Tennis Schedule

Players will participate in the four Grand Slams apart from the various other WTA tournaments like the WTA Premier, WTA International, Hopman Cup and the WTA Finals. Some of the top women’s players will be seen in action including the likes of Serena Williams, who returns after a maternity break, Caroline Wozniacki, Simona Halep, Angelique Kerber, Garbine Muguruza, Karolina Pliskova, Victoria Azarenka, Agnieszka Radwanska and Maria Sharapova among others.

Some of the others who will be seen through the year include Sloane Stephens, Caroline Garcia, Petra Kvitova, Elina Svitolina, Julia Goerges, Jelena Ostapenko, Daria Kasaktina, Madison Keys and Venus Williams.

Last year was an interesting one on the WTA circuit, with four different players winning the three Grand Slam titles – Caroline Wozniacki, Simona Halep, Angelique Kerber and Naomi Osaka winning those four titles. With Serena Williams making a slow return to tennis following the birth of her child, it was quite an open WTA tennis calendar so far and it was made more so when Naomi Osaka, at 20, won the US Open title by beating Williams in the final.

What that meant was that over the last eight Grand Slam tournaments, eight different women have won the singles title!
